INSPIRED BY THE NORSE TALE OF THE MEAD OF POETRY, KVASIR'S BLOOD IS AN ODE TO NORSE MYTHOLOGY.

Kvasir, in Norse mythology, was a poet and the wisest of all men. Kvasir was born from the saliva of two rival groups of gods, the Aesir and Vanir, when they performed the ancient peace ritual of spitting into a vessel.

He traveled far and wide, teaching and spreading knowledge. Kvasir always gave the right answer to a question.

Fjalar and Galar, two dwarven brothers, grew weary of Kvasir’s academics and learning so they decided to spring a trap. The two dwarves invited Kvasir to their home. Upon his arrival, the dwarves slew Kvasir and drained his blood.

They combined the blood with honey in the magical kettle Óðrerir. A mead was created known as the mead of poetry. Any who drank this mythical beverage became imbued with skaldship and wisdom.

A COMPLEX AND RICH CHERRY AND HIBISCUS MEAD, AGED ON HOMELY SPICES AND CHERRY WOOD TO IMBUE THIS MEAD WITH BOTH THE FRUIT AND THE ESSENCE OF THE CHERRY WOOD TREE.
